Tasnia

Hi! My name is Tasnia and I believe that every student has unique strengths, where my goal is to help them unlock their full potential. I will do this by ensuring that each student understands the key ideas as a foundation for trickier concepts and believe that understanding the 'why' behind things like formulas and equations is crucial to excel. It is important to not memorise abstract information, but be able to thoroughly understand it and thus apply it effectively, such as in exams.

By exploring and gaining a deeper understanding of concepts, I have developed an appreciation in the disciplines of mathematics and physics. This has led me to pursue a Bachelors of Engineering at the University of Queensland.

Through high school, and especially in year 11 and 12, I have had my fair share of moments of uncertainty, but over time have built strong learning strategies that have allowed me to succeed. Learning can seem unfamiliar and stressful, but I am eager to use these strategies in helping each student achieve their academic goals with confidence in a supportive environment.

Outside of academics, I love to hang out with my friends, travel to beautiful places, and bake sweet treats. I am perfectly happy to assist with assignments and help with questions in between lessons and I look forward to being your tutor!
