Matthew
Hey, I'm Matt! I'm currently a student completing my Doctor of Medicine degree at Bond University. I'm really passionate about teaching students since there's nothing more fulfilling than being able to make people's lives even a little bit easier!
Early on in high school I was always a student that struggled with maths, I felt like 'I would never get it'. Through the guidance of an amazing tutor in year 11 and 12, maths quickly became one of my best subjects. So when students tell me about their struggles with maths, I completely get where they're coming from. My style of teaching involves tailoring sessions to the individual strengths and weaknesses of students, remaining patient at all times, and breaking down difficult concepts into simpler terms. I also like to think of myself as a mentor and not just a tutor. This means beyond helping students with academic material, I can also provide guidance on maximising the efficiency of study sessions, time management strategies, as well as avoiding academic burnout. Through my many years of education at high school and medical school I've realised that a adopting a holistic approach to schooling is ultimately what brings students towards academic success and a more balanced lifestyle where they can spend more time doing the things they enjoy!
Outside of medicine I love to stay active by going to the gym, training Thai kickboxing, spending time with friends/family, and playing video games!
If you think that I would be a good fit for you, please feel free to reach out and I look forward to meeting you!
