Luca
Hi! My name's Luca, and I'm currently studying pure mathematics and chemistry (and a little bit of physics) at the University of Queensland. I like to think I know my way around high school subjects pretty well at this point (I'd hope so, at least). I graduated high school with ATAR 99.75, and was the Dux of my school. My best subjects were English extension (100%), physics (99%), chemistry (98%), literature (96%), and specialist maths (95%). I think something we’ve all found out one way or another is that no matter what year of school you’re in, balancing work, study, hobbies, a social life, and everything else you have to do can be overwhelming to say the least. Personally, I love playing the piano and working out, and there was no way that I’d be willing to give those hobbies up. But at certain points in my education (most notably in grade 12) it began to get almost impossible to get enough study, make time for my hobbies, see my friends, and so on – this is a common problem for students across the board. My goal became to find the best and most efficient techniques for learning, and to develop strategies and techniques to make assignments more approachable and exams less anxiety-inducing. Now, I like to share the tricks I’ve discovered and show how content is almost never as scary as it looks, so that students don’t have to compromise their academic goals to live the rest of their life. Nowadays, I spend my time studying (I’m a real maths and chemistry nerd), playing classical piano, going to the gym, and spending good time with my friends.
