Hriday
Hi everyone, My name is Hriday Shah and I'm currently doing a medicine degree at Monash University. The journey till here has been amazing though filled with challenges and I hope to utilise the knowledge I have gained so far to support you in your high school journey as well. During my high school years, I was often confused about how much depth to study to or how the content would be assessed. My biggest breakthrough in this struggle was understanding how to draw effective links between different area of studies and subjects that not only helps you remember the content, but gives you nuanced perspectives that allow you to easily answer even challenging or differentiator questions. As your tutor, we will work together to help you draw these links to, solidifying your understanding of every concept. On top of this, I have helped many students understand and master mark allocation for questions to ensure their responses are receiving maximum marks. These two key strengths, along with extensive practice propelled me to the top of the Melbourne High School cohort, as I claimed the spot of rank 1 Mathematical Methods, rank 1 Science (Biology, Physics & Chemistry combined) and four years straight of Academic awards (Top 15 within the cohort). With my guidance, understanding and expertise, you too can soar to new heights with weekly classes specifically focused on these 2 key strengths of building bridges between concepts and understanding mark allocation, which is a very different skill than merely knowing the content. Outside of education, I'm also a passionate debater, state chess player and a keen sport player being in the school hockey team and I've continued with these interests into university.
