Ellie
Hi! I'm Ellie, and I'm currently studying a dual degree of Commerce and Law at the University of Queensland. I graduated from Loreto College Coorparoo as the college dux with an ATAR of 99.95, and also received a QCAA Distinguished Academic Achiever Award. At high school, I studied Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Physics, Chemistry, English, and French, achieving a perfect score in Specialist, Methods, and English, and dux of my school in French, Specialist, Methods, Chemistry and English. Although navigating grade 11 and 12 was challenging at times, I always loved spending time with my friends both inside and outside of school, and I took pride in finding the balance between schoolwork and my personal life. In my spare time, I love catching up with friends, going on long walks out in nature, reading, watching movies, and my personal favourite, going shopping! My goal in tutoring is to be able to take some of the stress off the shoulders of other students going through their high school journey and share my own insights on navigating the difficult final years of school. I hope that through tutoring, students can learn more efficient ways to study and work, allowing them to thrive both academically and personally. Having survived the horrors of high school chemistry, physics, and maths myself, I know all the tips and tricks on how best to tackle these often intimidating subjects and break down subject matter so that it goes from looking like utter nonsense to being completely understandable, and I love sharing this knowledge with others.
