Hi! I’m Eliza Carey and I would love to tutor you! Whether you are a younger student wanting extra help to boost your grades, or a high level senior student trying to separate yourself from the bunch, I am happy to help!

I achieved an ATAR of 99.85 and attended Brisbane State High School. Having completed year 12 in the new QCE system, I am uniquely able to assist students with how to best ace the new assessment, and I am fresh knowing all content, including that which the old system did not include.

For year 12 I received an average raw score of 97% across all my subjects, including 100% for French, 98% for chemistry, 97% for physics, and 96% for English literature. After receiving 100% for all my internal assessment, I’m ready to help you navigate the often ambiguous criteria.

I have completed a Bachelor of Medical Science with a final GPA of 7.0, and am now in my third year of studying the Doctor of Medicine at Griffith University.

I have four years of tutoring experience, and tutor maths, science and english, specifically physics, chemistry, biology, literature, and French. For my younger students, I believe it is beneficial to begin learning good study and learning habits to best prepare for senior years.

Having done extensive extra curricular, including basketball, clarinet and being Prefect, I understand that every student has a different lifestyle and learning style to adapt to. I promote diligence and hard work, but am friendly, kind and encouraging to everyone I teach. I encourage my students to think deeper about what they learn so they gain confidence in their abilities and achieve their goals, from improving in a subject, to gaining entrance into medicine.

Within the last four years I have helped numerous students gain entry into their dream degrees including medicine and midwifery.

Full of my high school and university experience, and personal techniques I can share, I will ensure my students receive the help they need, and gain a new confidence in their abilities which will truly allow them to shine.
