A bit about me
I'm Owen. If you asked me in Year 10 what ATAR I was aiming for, I probably would've responded with "High Distinction". I was quite an inexperienced student (putting it nicely 🙂)
Between then and the final HSC exams, I realised the way that I was learning was neither productive nor beneficial 😐. I only changed a little bit, yet I soon saw my marks improving 📈
Throughout this time, I still played basketball with friends, coded in my spare time, went swimming, and spent a tiny bit of time on TikTok 😁. Today, I'm a medical student at UNSW.
To all the students who think doing well academically is out of reach, to all those who think that they have to give up hobbies and extracurriculars to succeed:
Let's put you first. Let's figure out what works best for you, whether that's the method that I found useful or otherwise. Let's make this a fun (or at least not painful 😇) experience
