A bit about me
Hi! I'm Olivia. I recently graduated from high school with a 99.40 ATAR and top in my year for French (Second Language), Maths Methods and Maths Specialist. I am now studying Cybersecurity and Finance at the University of Western Australia, and I'm also continuing to learn French at Alliance Française de Perth. I have 2+ years of experience tutoring, and have helped students go from failing to getting As in tests and exams!
When learning maths, you'll find each topic often builds on previous maths skills you've studied. At school, teachers move at the speed that the curriculum requires, forcing students who haven't quite gotten the fundamentals yet to fall behind and, of course, become overwhelmed. With personalised tutoring, I can offer a different experience with maths. In my lessons I make sure my students feel comfortable with the basics before moving ahead to the more challenging topics and questions - meaning no more confusion and overwhelm. And trust me, you'll probably start to enjoy maths a whole lot more!
I also tutor French. My French teacher used to say, “Fail to Prepare. Prepare to Fail”. And after studying French for 6 years at high school, I can confirm it is all about the preparation and practice. And I can help you do that! I received a final scaled mark of 95.2%, and in my final WACE French practical exam I received a mark of 100%. I would love to help my students reach their speaking potential by offering plenty of opportunity to practise, something which is often neglected in class, as wells as explanations of grammar from the perspective of a native English speaker learning French, and tips and tricks of what to include in written and speaking responses so you give markers exactly what they are looking for.
If I sound like the tutor for you, please get in touch! I can't wait to hear from you :)
