Hi there, I’m Maryanne! School was probably one of the biggest (and greatest) rollercoasters I’ve ever experienced, with some of the highest highs and lowest lows, but it was also some of the most rewarding times where I felt I had grown immensely. I feel extremely strongly about being able to not only impart the knowledge that I have gained throughout my schooling onto others so that they may thrive academically, but also providing a safe space for people to be able to celebrate their achievements (large or small!), or just relax and vent in a supportive environment.
 
I believe that learning is not just limited to the textbook. We don’t study just to complete an exam, nor do we study for a quick pass. A personal ethos of mine is that if you don’t try anything, you won’t know. There’s no harm in trying even if you think it will go poorly. These opportunities not only provide spaces to learn new skills, but also to make valuable friendships, to develop interests, and to great long-lasting memories. Schooling is not sacrifice, it’s a treasure trove of opportunities to learn!
 
Some stuff about myself: I loved my extracurriculars, and this was a big part of my schooling, all the way through year 12! In hindsight, juggling these commitments was HECTIC, but I don’t even regret a second and still I have incredible memories of high school. If you’re the same and want to strike a healthy balance between your hobbies and still achieve in high school, I aim to provide individualised tutoring, as well as becoming a support person to help you through school!
