A bit about me

Hello!!! My name's Elizabeth and I'm a medical student at Monash University. I started studying French at the ripe age of 4 and have been in love with the language ever since. I'm a fluent speaker and writer now after a decade of studying the language and having had the accent, the syntax and the vocabulary drilled into my little mushy toddler brain!
French has always been the subject I just "got". I know the ins and outs of both general high-school and VCE French - those secret (weirdly specific) boxes you have to check to get examiners to adore you and how to generally step into the shoes of a French assessor (having learned from a few myself!) - and so I feel very confident in my ability to lead another student to success!
I also offer English tutoring! As you can see, my forte has always been more abstract, linguistic subjects. I managed to score subject dux in my cohort, meaning I had the highest SAC scores across the year. I now have a fine tuned understanding of how to control your expression in essay-writing, keeping it crisp and clear but still sophisticated to get your ideas across in an easily accessible and eloquent way. My lessons will focus primarily on reviewing essays and writing that the student has done beforehand, since I truly believe this is the most fruitful help you can receive in English. An extra set of experienced eyes to give you a fresh perspective on your own work becomes invaluable especially in final-year English, when teachers' time becomes limited and the learning curve becomes steep.
